What is truth? Is there an objective truth by which the world can be measured?
Or   is   truth  more   about   perception?   How  is   it   that   two   different   people   can experience the same thing, and yet come to two different conclusions over the
event? What  about  scientific  truth? Does scientific  truth support  or  invalidate religious  “truths”? How do we know something is true versus being false?
Ponder for a moment the concept of “truth” and you will see that it has many
meanings and interpretations.

Personal Truth

In Light of Truth Reiki we aren't really interested in outside truths so much as the
truth that is within us, truth that is personal and applies to our own lives. 
The truth is always there, but we often ignore it, or we are unable to hear it
because we are attached to specific outcomes. The more we are driven by fear,
the less we are living by our truth.

Consider, for example, a situation where you know a relationship is not serving
you, but you continue to stay in it because fear is ruling you. You fear being
alone; you fear losing the person; you fear you will never be happy again; you
fear feeling the pain of loss.

Yet,   in your heart  of  hearts,  you  know  that  you should  let  go,  move on,  and
release the relationship. Your heart tells you this, and yet you refuse to listen.
As you continue along the “wrong” path, your intuition may try to warn you and
alert you. Perhaps it's a phone call you accidentally overhear, or a discovery of
an earring that's not yours (your husband is cheating).

Yet, you still continue to ignore these signs, until one day, something big happens
that forces you to confront the truth you tried to ignore: You actually catch your
husband in the act. Your world crumbles. Imagine, instead, that you had been able to listen to your heart and inner truth  and release your fear early on. Perhaps you would see that it would be for your  highest good and the highest good of your cheating husband to let him go. Then, you come to your decision from a place of choice, instead of reaction or  necessity. And you might have avoided the painful confrontation that forced you to finally deal with the problem.

About Open Heart Reiki

An open heart is a beautiful thing. It is a heart that is able to give and receive, to love
and be loved, fully and unconditionally.

Unfortunately, many of us are walking around with hearts that are not fully open. We
have closed our hearts due to past pain, disappointments, and rejection. We keep
our hearts closed by not healing our hurts and by coddling rather than releasing our
deep anger.

Having a closed heart only hurts us in the long run, however. It affects our ability to
feel. It shuts down our creativity. And most importantly, it blocks us from being able
to have fully positive, loving relationships with others. With a closed heart, someone
might be there for you, offering unconditional love, and you would not be able to
fully feel it or accept it.

Open Heart Reiki and the Heart Chakra

Chakras are energy centers that are part of our “energetic anatomy.” We have seven
basic chakras according to classical energy philosophy. Each chakra is located in a
specific part of the body and provides a specific function.
Open Heart Reiki is a Reiki system focused on the heart chakra, which is the energy
center that is located in the middle of the chest. The heart chakra is an important
chakra, because it is the link between the lower earth-based chakras and the higher,
spiritual chakras. 

Chakras one through three deal with earthly matters such as survival, sexuality, and
basic boundaries. Chakras five through seven deal with more esoteric matters such
as creative expression, intuition, and the connection with the divine.
The heart chakra, which is the fourth chakra, is directly in between these two sets of
chakras.   It  connects our physical  earthly nature with our spiritual  nature.  
It is  the center of our being. It is the place from which we give and receive love.
A strong heart chakra can open and heal our other chakras if they are closed down
and not   functioning at   full  capacity.  An open heart  chakra has  the ability  to heal
others and give them comfort and nurturing, without your even trying.

Open Heart Reiki

If you have ever met someone with an open heart chakra, you have probably felt it.
These people are individuals who you feel safe and loved around. They attract a lot
of   people   to   them who   love   and   trust   them.   They   are   giving  without   draining themselves.

They are able to give so much because they are giving from an open heart chakra,
one that refills itself from an infinite reservoir of unconditional love. People who give
from a closed heart chakra are usually stealing energy from other areas, such as their
second or third chakras.  Or, worse,  they are giving more as a way to receive and
when they “give” they are actually taking. These people then act as energy vampires
upon the other person.

Have you ever had someone give you a gift that left you feeling drained or guilty?
That person is not giving from an open heart chakra. They are giving to get, and you
can feel it.

Healers in particular should work to have open heart chakras. Otherwise, they risk
healing from a place that is not in integrity with themselves. By working with Open Heart Reiki energy, you will be able to create a strong healthy heart  chakra  that   is able  to give  fully and unconditionally,  while  receiving  love  in return. With an open heart chakra, you should expansive, loving and joyous. Life should feel easier and you will feel more at peace with the world.
